Violent fight breaks out in the stands during Grizzlies vs Lakers

Footage has emerged of a brutal fight that broke out in the stands at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, during the second game of the series between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers.

The series has now moved to Los Angeles for games three and four, but the video from game two has emerged over the past few days and has shocked the NBA world.

The brawl at the Memphis Grizzlies vs Los Angeles Lakers game

A fan, presumably from the visiting team due to his Lakers outfit, came to blows with a home supporter wearing a Mike Bibby jersey - from his time with the Vancouver Grizzlies - and he was brutally beaten up, shaken and punched by his aggressor, who was much bigger than he was.

Spectators who were close to the protagonists of the fight tried to move away and the brawl only stopped when one of them stepped in between them.

It is an extremely distressing case of public violence in which there seems to be one clear aggressor who is repeatedly punching and throwing another man who is much smaller than him.

There is very little intervention from those around the fight until a man steps in between the pair and the fighting stops.

What caused the fight is still unknown. There is no word yet on what legal action is coming for the two crowd members.
